Arthur Charles "Artie" Dorie

Arthur Charles "Artie" Dorie, 78, of Westfield, passed away August 17, 2015 at his residence. He leaves behind his son: Scott Dorie and Scott's wife Sharon, four grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son: Bruce Dorie. After serving four years in the US Air Force, Artie spent most of his life working with his hands. A general contractor, he was an extremely skilled carpenter, wood carver, mason, and landscaper. He enjoyed traveling the world and discovering rare finds. A beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Artie will be remembered for being kind, talented, hardworking, and a "rebel." Artie was a good man, and a free spirit, with a passion for life. His visitation and life celebration will be Thursday August 20th, from 6:00-9:00PM at Gray Funeral Directors, 318 E.
